The cat got a little fiesty... Jillian picked up Jim Jim, and normally Jim just hangs there like a doll, but something spooked him, and he bolted from Jillian's arms. Scratched her tummy, wrist and hand, and her ear. Got her ear pretty good. I seriously considered hospital but figured with the location of the cut, we'd spend hours at the ER to go home with steri strips.

This is a picture from the next day. I went next door (she works at a hospital) and got some good hospital grade Hebicleanse and Peroxide (damned if I couldn't find my own Peroxide) and cleaned her up. Rolled the skin back down on her ear *gags* and bandaged her up. It was pretty deep, but it looks pretty good huh?



THEN the very next day at school, she's running on the "structure" (AKA kindergarten play gym outside) and slips and falls BAM! Hit's her head on the stairs... producing a giant bruised lump on her forehead. Look real close above HER right eye.

Superhero Birthday party

Jillian got to go to a SuperHero Birthday Party. Trinity turned FIVE!! Jillian used last years Halloween costume and went, ready to fight crime as "Bat Girl"! (in Pink of course...) Here's some pictures I took and some I borrowed from Trinity's mom's blog. :o)

Funny stuff

OK so isn't it funny when "kids say the darndest things?"
Well Jillian had me laughing a couple times this weekend... first we went to Wal-Mart to do some grocery shopping. She see's an empty water bottle on the side of the road, in the dirt.
J: Look momma, someone threw out a bottle
Me: *looks outside* oh yup, they sure did the litter-bug
J: what's that?
Me: a litter bug is someone that throws trash out on the ground instead of the trash cans.
J: *thinks about it*
J: well momma, why don't they just call them a little human?
Me: *confused* wha? ohhh! *realizing what she's talking about* *chuckles* Boog I said "LITTER bug" not Little bug.
J: *blushes* OH! (then of course she got mad cuz she thought I was laughing at her .. but I was laughing at the "little human". )


Then we get home, and after a little while I saw that she had taken off her shoes and left them under the table.
Me: Jillian is this where your shoes are supposed to be kept?
J: *walks over* where?
Me: There's two pairs right her *points under table*
J: Well Son of a.... *trails off*
Me: Excuse me? *realizing I say that more than I thought*
J: Who put those THERE?!?! *trying to be silly because she realized she said something she shouldn't have*
Me: Jillian you shouldn't say that it's not a "kid" thing to say.
Shaun: *walks out of bedroom* *gives me the "what'd she do" nod*
Me: She goes "son of a.... " but didn't finish it...
Shaun: well you know who says that all of the time...
Me: I know... I'm glad I never finish it!! *lol*
J: Seriously who put these here?!?! *trying to be serious*
Me: Jillian you did you silly... just don't say "son of a..." anymore k?
J: K...



And then the final funny, yesterday I got a wild hair and decided to wash Scott's truck. Which I quickly regreted about 5 minutes into the washing, but since I started I had to finish...
Anyway if you know me, you'll know anything I do outside results in a headache. So I'm laying on the couch and Jillian is trying to tickle my feet to make me feel better. She "finds" them and goes "tickle tickle tickle I got ... " *stops* *gets her "shocked" face on* "Oops, that's MY foot!" It was hilarious. I wondered what she was tickling, cuz she was tickling away and I wasn't feeling anything. Had me laughing the whole day!

Kindergarten

We got a good nights sleep.

Monday morning I got her backpack and lunch box all ready to go.

She woke up...

Got all dressed and took pictures (of course!)

Got in the car....

And off to school we went. I Took a picture of her next to her class bulletin board.

We then went straight to the playground and mingled with the teachers. Jillian found Mrs. Joralman and gave her a big hug! (it helps that she knows her teacher a little bit outside of school)

Lucas wanted to play SOOOOO bad!!

We mingled with Auntie Shelby... well I mean Mrs. Gibson LOL! Jillian's classroom is right next door to Mrs. Gibsons.

Then the students got in line to go to the classroom. Jillian was of course first in line!

They walked to the classroom, and all sat on the big rug and talked about the first day of school. They put their lunchboxes in the basket, and then Mrs. Joralman let the students raise their hands and say what was on their minds.

One boy raised his hand and said that he and his dad were going to go to the park and fly his helicopter. The another girl raised her hand and said how she liked the monkey bars but sometimes they scared her, because she fell one time. But now if she goes on them and starts to fall, she just jumps off and land on her feet. There was one boy that was crying and a little girl (that he knew) was holding his hand. She raised her hand and said "Ryan's sad because he wants his mommy". Then another boy raised his hand and just wanted to say Hi. They were too cute!

Jillian said she had a good day. She made friends but couldn't remember their names. (Well one was Sydney, she was the girl that told the class Ryan was sad.) They had a treasure hunt for a treasure box full of candy. They got to go to music class and she got to play on the playground. She couldn't wait to go back!!

Lucas diving??

Lucas kept wanting to go off the diving board like Uncle Randy. So Toby & Shaun (And Aunt Nellie) put him on the diving board. It took a little bit but then he finally went it. (Sorry it's sideways...)

Here's another video... a little of Lucas but then I got some of Jillian swiming along the edge of the pool. She was so cute and excited. LOL! WOO!! (this one starts out sideways then I turned the camera)

First time at the Dentist

Jillian finally had her first dentist appt. She got to play games in the waiting room, which she LOVED! She got called back and got X-Rays done. Then the assistant cleaned her teeth. I thought she would freak out, but she did very well! She giggled her "nervous giggle", but everyone thought it was cute! She got a T-Shirt to wear at every visist...if she does she gets an extra prize out of the prize box! She got a new purple spongebob toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. The dentist came out and did the exam, she has NO cavities!! And we found out that the discolored front teeth (which we thought was from her not brushing well enough) was actually from the 3 (yes THREE) times she fell and hit her teeth. The first two times she tore the frenulum (which the dentist said looked professionally repaired, I told him nope, it was just from Jillian falling) and the third was when she fell face first into my friends ceramic floor. OUCH! Anyway because of that "trauma" to her teeth she has no nerves in her front teeth causing the discoloration. He showed me her X-Rays and sure enough, he was RIGHT! Those front two teeth have NO nerves. They also said there were two teeth on her upper right side that are inverted a little and if the permanant teeth don't come in straight then she may have to have braces to fix it, but that won't be necessary unless it's causing problems.
